Slot definition: A slot is defined as a 10 minutes period. There are 6 slots in the hour, from the hour to 9 mn after, from 10 to 19 mn after the hour, from 20 to 29 mn after the hour, from 30 to 39 mn after the hour, from 40 to 49 mn after the hour, and from 50 to 59 mn after the hour.

Slots are allocated in accordance with guidelines set out in Worldwide Slot Guidelines (WSG). Airports throughout the world are categorised as either Level 1 (Non-Coordinated Airport), Level 2 (Schedules Facilitated Airport) and Level 3 (Coordinated Airport).
The Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines (WASG) is published by Airports Council International (ACI), the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Worldwide Airport Coordinators Group (WWACG) to provide the global air transport community with a common set of standards for the management of airport slots at coordinated airports and of planned operations at facilitated airports.

Since IATA Summer 2016 season, the airport system CMN/RBA is qualified fully coordinated ( IATA Level 3).

Rabat / Salé airport is fully coordinated from 06h00 to 23h00 local time : except for Force Majeure cases, any landing or take-off of any aircraft is subject to slot clearance from the designated coordonator of the airport.
